Parvez: Slow Food for a Mourning
Death implies a time for mourning. There are communities that ensure that a family in mourning is not left alone and is provided food by friends and neighbors. Parvez invokes this act of compassion and invites you to share a humble meal together with some of those who haven't had the time or the possibility to mourn the ongoing deaths of thousands of fellow citizens that include family members, friends, children, women, men and acquaintances.

Voices from Palestine – A Call for Solidarity
Join us for a powerful conversation with Sabreen, Majed, and Mousheera, Palestinian speakers born and raised in Gaza and currently based in Europe, alongside a young woman, who joins us from Palestine.
Together, the speakers will share firsthand perspectives on the ongoing genocide and the anti-colonial struggle for the liberation of Palestine. Attendees are encouraged to hold space for those directly impacted, to listen, and to engage in a thoughtful dialogue. This event will also offer a chance to reflect on what international solidarity can look like in times of emergency and consider ways in which people in Switzerland, France and Germany can contribute for a ceasefire and an end of occupation.
An event hosted by Stella Meris in collaboration with visarte, talking place on 19.12.2024 at Projektraum M54, Mörsbergerstrasse 54, Basel, as part of the group show "Striving for Common Access", curated by Catherin Schöberl, Pascale Grau und Raphael Reichert as part of Regionale 25.
